There is a Place

by Dreama Vance

There is a place within me. I call it the dwelling place. It is a place where I can sit down and just be. It is a place where I can rest. I can let go of all the cares and worries of the world. I can be quiet and shut out the noise of the day. So sometimes I call it the resting place.

It is a place. It is a place within me where I can go and be still.

Just for five minutes I can rest and be still.

I don’t have to pray. I don’t have to ask for anything. I don’t have to save the world and I don’t have to be spiritual. I don’t have to use the right words or the right techniques to find God, understand God or have God do anything for me.

I can just rest and be still.

Oh, it is a blessed place to just be quiet and not have to do anything.

As I rest in this place within my being, it feels like the lap of water against the side of a moored sailboat. That gentle rocking motion, so soothing. It flows over me, rocking me, soothing and calming. Like a babe rocked in mother’s arms, held close to the heart, the fretfulness falls away. Peace is restored. I can breathe again, I notice, as I release a deep sigh.

The dwelling place. It renews me. It restores me. I want to live in this place all the time. That is why I call it the dwelling place. I want to reside here, dwell here. I know such peace in this place. I feel beautiful here; beauty surrounds me.

I feel nurtured here in this place. All of the broken pieces of me are knit up. I’m not broken any more. I am made whole again.

I notice the Sun is shining gently, smiling on my spirit. Everything is gentle in this place. It is a place of ease and flow. Ease and flow. I call this grace. This grace flows through me and I am part of it.

It is my dwelling place.

It is my dwelling place.

She Walks in Beauty

by Dreama Vance

“She walks in beauty, like the night
Of cloudless climes and starry skies;”

This well-loved poem by Lord Byron is about a beautiful woman, but for me, it has always represented Gaia. Do you see the Earth as she dances, spinning across the starlit sky? Do you see her as she turns from dark to bright?

The poem goes on to describe her attributes of goodness, serenity, peace and calmness, implying an elegant, regal nature. Is this not Gaia herself?

Many years ago while visiting Big Bend National Park in Texas, I somehow quite miraculously fell in love with the Earth. In this isolated area, within a 24-hour period, I fell absolutely in love with her. I cried like my heart was broken when I had to leave and return to my normal everyday life. During that brief time, in the way of mystery, she called me to walk the beauty path.

Earthlight

If you fall in love with her and whisper your heart’s desire to also walk the beauty path, she will begin to reveal her secrets to you.

Teachers will come to you to share her wisdom. If you partake of this wisdom, you will find your life entwined with her heart, just like two lovers in an embrace.

If you can be still enough… if you can quiet your mind and open your heart, she will sing to you.

Her song will play upon your inner being, revealing to you such wonders. Majesty and grandeur beyond imagination – LIFE ever living, renewing. She carries the heart of every living creature within her own beating heart.

If you are quiet, you will feel that heart beat. Like a baby in the womb, carried under the heart of the mother, we are nurtured, held in comfort and safety. We are connected as our heart vibrates in rhythm with hers, becoming one heart.

As you shelter in her arms, as you partake of foods from the Goddess, she will teach you the beauty path. You will become one with her rhythms, breathing with her breath and dancing with her divine nature. Her wisdom becomes your wisdom. Her cycles become your cycles. The depth of her spirit begins to deepen yours. Her peace soaks into your being.

Life becomes so much more than our daily existence.

“She walks in beauty,” and so will you.

Return to the Garden, Part Two: Dietary Magic

by Dreama Vance

Changing to an unprocessed plant-based diet rich in organic, fresh, uncooked fruits and veggies is transformative and powerful at all levels of our being, not just physically and mentally, but emotionally and spiritually, too.

Can you just start eating from the garden? Of course! You can start by just eating an apple every day! But there is a powerful way, I think it may be a secret many people don’t know, to start you and keep you moving on your journey to eating those fresh, living foods that are full of light and life.

One of the best ways to start increasing your intake of fresh fruits and veggies is through the daily juicing habit. Make fresh juice. Remember in Part One we talked about how you now have to eat 11 carrots to get the same nutrition one carrot provided your grandma? I don’t know about you, but I don’t think I could sit down and eat 11 carrots. This is one of the perks of fresh juice! You can shovel in those carrots and greens.

Make your own fresh living juice everyday. It is a game changer!

There is something magical that begins to happen as you develop this habit. First, your body gets flooded with nutrients. You start to get those nutrients that have been missing from the other 10 carrots you weren’t eating! See how it works? It isn’t just carrots, of course, that are missing the nutrients they used to have, but all of our foods that are not grown in fertile, rich soil.

Something starts to happen when your body gets flooded with nutrients that are alive and full of life. Nothing packs in the nutrients like a fresh juice every day. Don’t let anyone tell you differently.

Let me take a moment to say this again. NOTHING packs in the nutrients like a fresh vegetable juice. The reason should be obvious. By removing a lot of the fiber, you can consume more, like the other 10 carrots. You cannot do this with a smoothie. I love smoothies and they have a wonderful place in the living food diet. But they don’t replace the daily juice habit.

I know this from my own experience. Sometimes life happens, you aren’t able to juice and smoothies are the next best thing, primarily because they are fast, easy, and convenient. Before I ever started the daily juice habit, for 10 months I made daily green smoothies when I was taking care of my sister. They were quick, filling, and kept me going. Often, that is all I would have in the morning until dinner because I was very busy.

After I started daily juicing there was another period in my life for about another 10 months when I couldn’t juice. So again I had a daily green smoothie. I still do smoothies. They have a definite and beneficial place in adding living food to your diet. Twenty months of green smoothies and no juice…good health and benefits for sure…

However, it is juicing on a daily basis that causes the magic to happen.

When you start the daily juice habit it is like some part of you has been sleeping all these years and now it awakens and starts to take over, demanding real food and choosing it. I have experienced this and I have heard this from many others. Magic starts to happen.

Daily juicing naturally, almost effortlessly, leads to choosing other healthy food options. Your taste buds will change. The daily juice habit supports you with powerhouse nutrition and it also helps keep you on your journey.

Once you develop the daily juice habit, if you miss a day, the next day when you juice, you will “hear” your body sigh with delight. After one summer of being on the road most of the time, I finally got home and made a green juice, sat down to enjoy it and literally heard my body say, “Thank Goodness! She finally fed us.” Communion between the consciousness of the body, the intelligence and wisdom of Nature and your own awareness begins to happen. Magic!

A second beneficial factor in juicing is the rapid absorption of nutrients into the blood stream, requiring little digestive effort. Think of eating as putting, let’s say 100 bucks worth of energy into your energy bank account, which is a primary reason to eat, to give us energy. However, that food requires energy be spent in the digestive process, so you have to spend energy in order to get energy from your food. You may even end up spending more to digest your food than you actually get from eating the food! With juicing this doesn’t happen. There is practically no energy spent in digestion.

This is why you drink your juice all by itself and on an empty stomach. You get all of the energy from the juice without spending any money from your bank converting it. Ka-ching! Juicing puts all the money in your energy bank.

These two factors are what make daily juicing such a powerhouse: 1) The ability to consume large amounts of nutrients that you would not be able to eat in a whole food form and 2) the ability to absorb those nutrients with very little energy expenditure.

Notice I am talking about daily juicing. It is the everyday habit that packs the punch, not just an occasional juice. Also, it is fresh, living juice, not bottled, pasteurized juice. I’m also talking about 24 to 32 ounces (up to a liter) of juice a day, mostly veggie juice, and most often green juice. Why? Most of us would rather eat our fruits and juice our veggies rather than the opposite way. Isn’t it easier to eat some oranges or apples rather than 10 carrots? I rest my case.

Why green juice? Greens are your mineral storehouse. Juicing is a great way to package dark, leafy greens so we are actually getting them into us, rather than just looking at them and thinking about how good they are for us…and still not eating them!

You can start slowly and build up the amount. Begin with a juice you like. It is the habit we want to create first. The point is to start juicing. If the thought of green juice makes you flee in terror, then start with something like carrot/apple juice, for example. Then you can add a little parsley. Then you can add celery and cucumber. See how it can evolve? Please start with a recipe so you don’t end up adding everything but the kitchen sink into your juice! A good juice book will teach you the “rules of juicing” so you don’t accidentally end up with terrible concoctions!

By the way, some “rules” are begging to be broken, so don’t be afraid to add apple to your green juices. I don’t know where that idea started, but there is this idea that green juice can’t have something like an apple or carrot for flavor. Who says? It took me years before I could like a green juice without apple. Look at all I would have missed in health benefits had I not added apple! I can guarantee you will not continue to juice if you do not enjoy the juice. It is just that simple.

Once you start juicing every day, it will become a habit, rather than a chore. At some point, you will even enjoy prepping your greens and washing your juicer. I know, it’s hard to believe, but this actually happens as a result of your change in consciousness.

What you eat affects your consciousness. It is one of the most deeply hidden understandings.

I would like to spend just a moment to talk about quality. Remember those 11 carrots to replace the one grandmother ate? We want to be eating the best fruits and veggies we can. Organic, fresh from your own garden would be superb. I don’t have a garden, so I go to the farmers’ market every week. I love to shop this way. I can get fresh, local, organically grown produce. I love supporting these small farmers. When we eat locally grown food, we are connecting to the energy of the land where we live. We are feeding our immune system with local microbes that Nature gives us to support life in the very place we are living.

Eating plants that are fresh, organic, living food leads to greater sensitivity. You will actually feel the energy coming from those greens from the farmer. You can sense the life force. You will feel vibrant just looking at them and touching them. This is when gratitude begins to blossom. You don’t have to think of things for which you are grateful; you will just be grateful. This is when you actually start to enjoy washing your juicer! You will love making your juice. The daily juice habit makes you feel vibrant and alive!

You will be so happy, grateful, and joyous for life. You will feel connected to everything. You will start to awaken on so many levels. So much joy is right there, once we align with our being, once we come back into the wisdom teachings of the Mother. We are designed to eat this way, to be a part of the whole, to be connected, conscious and awake.

We are designed to be in love with Life! All of this from changing our diet! Who knew? Well, the ancients knew, and that is why the teachings have been hidden except for small groups that have carried this wisdom through time for us. Now all we have to do is start putting these teachings into practice.

Eat from the garden. Eat real food. Juice every day. Love will bloom.

Winter Solstice

by Dreama Vance

December 21st is Winter Solstice for the northern hemisphere. It is my most favorite day of the entire year!

Yin energy is at its peak and calls us to settle down with a warm cup of herbal tea and reflect on the past year. It calls us inside ourselves to contemplate, meditate, and rest in the reassurance of the Presence.

You can feel this energy pulling you. The energy calls you inward. It is one of the reasons we experience so much stress during this time of the year. We are running around madly, busy as can be, exactly opposite of what the energies of Nature are calling us to do.

When we are in harmony with the Earth and her energies, we move into flow and grace. Stop and rest today. Be still and quiet your mind and allow reflection.

For several years now, I have been reflecting during Winter Solstice. As I reflect on the past year, a single word will come to consciousness that identifies the energy of the year just lived. It will be the theme or topic of experience that life has given me in my journey.

This year the word is Simplify.

This has been the theme running through this past year and indeed, continues to be a beacon of light for the time ahead. The energies are never discarded in the new year, but instead, they add to the wisdom of our experience of life and continue to light our way.

For one thing, we downsized. Less really is more! More time to enjoy life instead of maintaining stuff! Before you move, you go through your stuff and get rid of a bunch of it. Then you move and wonder why you didn’t get rid of the rest of it! We still have some of that to do, but already life is easier because burdens of responsibility are lifted.

The process of simplification of your mental atmosphere brings clarity. With clarity comes the ability to focus. With focus comes action!

When our minds are cluttered with too much stimulation, we become overwhelmed. I don’t know about you, but when that happens, I just sit down and don’t do anything! When we get rid of some of the mental noise and chatter, we can think straight again. We become calm and collected mentally. Then we can move into action and accomplish our goals. Priorities line up automatically and effortlessly.

Simplification has been the theme running throughout our year, not because we decided at the beginning that it would be, but because our intuition and spiritual wisdom guided us in this direction.

As we returned to the garden in our food choices, our meals became much less complicated. As this happened, our taste buds came back to life! Who would think that straight celery juice would be delicious?

Fruits and vegetables made into smoothies, juices, and salads comprise the majority of our meals. They are delicious. We feel lighter, brighter, more energetic. Raw fruits and vegetables are alive with life energy. When you eat them this way in there uncooked form, you become alive with this energy. You awaken with this vitality. The cells in your body want to sing and dance when you begin to feed them this way. Life just gets easier and more enjoyable. It becomes more real.

SPIRITUAL CLARITY MADE SIMPLE

When you go back to the beginning teachings of your spiritual understanding, do you remember how simple they were? You had great insights and intuition. You really didn’t know enough to make up any of your experiences, so your consciousness was picking up on the underlying qualities of Spirit.

When we simplify our spiritual practice, like we are doing with the chakra meditations, we unclutter the mental process and that uncluttering opens the path for the qualities of Spirit to be seen, felt, and experienced, just as they were when you first began to awaken to the Truth of your being.

Simplicity paves the way for clarity. Clarity opens understanding. Understanding creates the desire for deeper connection and that is how we arrive at the dwelling place and maintain our abiding place in the Presence.

Simplify. You can see how it has been the word of the year in our family and the benefits it has provided. If you live in the northern climes, I hope you will take the time this Winter Solstice to go within and allow Spirit to reveal your word of the year so you may explore what you have learned and the wisdom you have gained.

As we reach the tipping point of Yin energy, it begins to flow into Yang. May your word of this past year be a light to the new active energies beginning to flow as we move toward the New Year.

Many, many blessings to you.

Life is Changing

by Dreama Vance

Life is changing. Can you feel it? Look around you and observe.

I have often said that food would be one of the great dividers during this time. Have you looked at a label on food recently? Low-fat, sugar-free, low salt, vegan, dairy-free, gluten-free, NON-GMO, soy-free, nut-free… the list goes on and on. Why is this?

People are waking up to truth. People are becoming aware. Yes, people ARE becoming conscious. One of the easiest places to see this is in our food choices. People are no longer sleep-walking through the grocery aisles. Well, some still are. But there are many, many people now making conscious choices concerning their food options.

This is the most obvious place I see real change and it is because food is such a major player in our lives. We all eat. Most of us eat an average of three times a day or more. This is an obvious place for the processed food makers to respond to consumer demand, and so they do.

The second place I see change is in health care. This is not as obvious because not as many are awake to this degree of consciousness yet. Some are, however, and you can see the movement starting. When a group of mothers in New York refuse to have their children vaccinated, you know this awakening is starting. People are beginning to turn away from the mainstream answers of pharmaceutical drugs and look for other choices.

These are changes you can actually see in society, if you look for them. Did you know it is predicted that next year in 2018, veganism will go mainstream? They are predicting vegan “cheese” will no longer be in quotes and that vegan options will be available in fast-food restaurants.

You can see these changes. You can observe the controversies that ALWAYS surround change of any magnitude.

My question to you is: ARE YOU FEELING CHANGE? Are you sensing change in your own being?

As carriers of the Light, most of us have always been ahead of our time. Even if we weren’t consciously aware at the time, we were drawn to choices that were actually steps leading to our own awakening and in our own choices we were opening the path for others to follow.

In 1976, I discovered a yoga class. In 1977, I became a “vegetarian.” At that time when I moved to a different state, I was hard-pressed to find one yoga class. In an entire tri-city area there was only one tiny natural food store. Today there is a yoga studio almost on every street corner. Natural health food stores are easily available in large cities and even many small towns have one.

Look back and see how your own choices have made a difference. I want you to reflect on your own life and see that choices you have made have been a lamp for others.

Now I ask you again. Are you feeling change? Somewhere along the line you awakened to consciousness and actually began seeking higher consciousness. Your journey in life has led you to actually realizing the importance of spiritual growth. You are in tune with Spirit. You turn more and more to your inner guidance. So I ask you, “Are you FEELING change?” Is Spirit calling to you? Are you feeling that urge moving through you?

I call it “the Breath of Spirit.” It is as if Spirit breathes through you. You feel as if a gentle breeze is blowing through an open door. When this happens, you begin to do something different from what is “normal” for you. You may start to eat differently, you may take up yoga, you may start to write, you may begin giving money away. I don’t know what will be different for you. But I do know when this change blows through you, it urges you to move. It is almost unstoppable.

You ARE important. Each light carrier has a spiritual mission. The Great Awakening IS happening. Be aware. Pay attention to what Spirit is telling you. Tune into the Presence. Let Spirit guide you with an open heart and a willingness to be of service, to fulfill your mission during this incredible life-changing time on this planet!

Arise and Shine

by Dreama Vance

A couple of years ago when we first moved to our new place, we popped into the brand new big chain grocery store that had just been built in our tiny little town, which is basically out in the boonies.

We stopped to get some organic apples since we were getting ready for a car trip. I stood in the checkout line and observed the woman in front of me. Her shopping cart was full of boxed and bottled items. The bottles were full of neon-colored liquid. I have no idea what was actually in those bottles, but she did have two boys with her that looked to be about 15 and 12, as well as a little girl in the cart. I can only assume those bottles of something that could not possibly have been grown in nature were for the kids. The two boys were busy raiding the candy trays on display at the counter and holding bottles of soda pop. I don’t really know what was in the boxes in her cart, either, but they, too, had bright colors and “grab your attention” packaging.

There was not one item of LIVE food in her cart. Not one piece of fruit, nor one vegetable was to be found. As I stood and watched the tableau of this family, my heart actually hurt for them. This picture has stayed with me and still weighs heavy in my heart.

Believe it or not, our food choices are closely tied to consciousness. Dead “food” promotes a “culture of death” as Dr. Gabriel Cousens calls it. Live food promotes life and feeds our spiritual awareness. Dr. Cousens is a well known advocate of a raw vegan diet and the spiritual enhancement that comes from this diet and lifestyle. He has several books out about the topic, including “Spiritual Nutrition,” where he specifically talks about how our food choices effect the subtle energy bodies, kundalini, and ultimately our spiritual path to God.

Processed food is, quite frankly, killing us. No matter how much good stuff you put into the body, if you are still polluting your system, you will simply be treading water, not making headway.

Think of your body as a pristine pool of water. When we start adding a drop of black ink to the pool, at first it is hardly noticeable. The more we add, however, the murkier the water becomes. If we decide to clean up and restore our pool to its pristine state, we can eventually do that by adding clean water, but only if we stop adding the black ink.

Improving our own well being and therefore increasing our spiritual awareness must involve the two steps of 1) eliminating the bad stuff and 2) increasing the good stuff that we eat.

I’ve often wondered which comes first, a change in diet, or a change in consciousness. I think perhaps they dance together with one taking the lead first and then the other. One thing that happens for sure is the cleaner you eat, the more aware and conscious you become, the more emotions will arise to the surface for you to become aware of and that you will have to handle.

Food and emotions are intricately linked in all of us. In fact, it is one of the main ways we are socialized into our culture. The sooner we see this food and emotion connection and begin to understand it, the easier it will be to make our own changes in diet and the more tolerance we will have in understanding others.

I’ve been involved in the raw food movement since about 2002. How that happened is a story for another time. I have watched many come and go in the movement. I’ve watched many leaders change their tune. Although I am not 100% raw, I am always moving in that direction. It stands as a guiding light in front of me, beckoning me on to better wellness and higher consciousness.

Recently I was talking a friend through prepping a raw dish and she looked at me and said, “You like doing this.” I stopped and realized, it brings me joy. Eating this way brings be joy. Somewhere in my journey during these last 15 years, the decision to eat more raw and living foods went from an intellectual decision to make good choices to one of wanting to make choices because they make me happy!

Before this realization, I often said I am in the “want to want to stage.” Many of us live in this stage for a long time, whatever the subject matter, be it doing daily exercise, starting a yoga practice, learning a new skill, or eating healthier. We live in that “want to want to stage” thinking about it, maybe even doing it, but if we are actually doing it, it is our willpower and discipline that carries us. When we finally reach the “want to stage” it is like finding freedom! Now we are doing whatever it is because we want to do it. Just like if you want a glass of water, you get up and go get one. Now you are motivated by the experience itself, and the joy and happiness you feel with the practice.

We all make choices everyday. We all do the best we can with what we know at the time and with the circumstances we encounter. So always love yourself. Always love the real food you eat and be most grateful for it.

Soon, I’ll talk about how I got started on this branch of my journey and share some tips for adding more living food to your lifestyle.

The Light Reveals Itself

by Dreama Vance

I never cease to be amazed that I awaken more and more… again and again… when I thought I was already Awake!!

How is that possible?

One of the ways I know Truth is through this phenomenon: I can read a work of spiritual teachings over and over and…

1) It is as if I’ve never read it previously, or

2) I get a totally different insight/realization than what I knew or understood from prior readings.

Like the layers of an onion, you go deeper and deeper into wisdom. In point of fact, we rise higher and higher in aspects of consciousness.

In the 7-chakra system and the related energy bodies, we function, as a humanity, at the third level – right around the solar plexus. The first three levels, from the root chakra at the base of the spine up to the solar plexus, are concerned with our physical, emotional, and mental energies.

The fourth level, of course, is the heart. The heart is the bridge between our physicality (the lower three levels) and our spiritual nature, the upper three chakras. Everyone pretty much knows this information. However, in between the fourth-level heart chakra and the fifth-level throat chakra is another chakra (not part of the seven major chakras) that is vitally important. It is right in the center of the chest between the heart center and the throat.

This chakra is the “gatekeeper” to the higher spiritual centers (5, 6, and 7). We must master the lower levels of the physical self before we are allowed deep access to the higher spiritual centers. True, we can move our conscious awareness up to these centers and take a peek, but we do not dwell there or even gain deep awareness until we master the lower physical levels. Let’s face it, it has taken humanity “countless great eons” to get to the solar plexus level.

We must learn to live the inner life. Everyone has heard, “As above, so below. As below, so above.” But it is the rest of the axiom, “As within, so without. As without, so within.” that we must come to understand. It is the dwelling within and the understanding of the nature of existence and how it works that explains the external world.

The understanding that the external world is created from the internal focus reveals to us what is going on in the unconscious self. In other words, two things are taking place simultaneously: The internal attention manifests the external experience; the external shows us clearly what is dwelling at our deeper levels – often unconsciously, thus revealing our beliefs and emotions.

It is this discovery, disciplinary focus, and mastery that leads us from fear into love.

We must know the existential laws. We must know the very nature of existence itself.

We must know and understand that we are this very nature and that the nature of this energy of existence is in everything we see in the manifested form, and know in the unmanifested. We must know and understand at this most fundamental level in order to move out of fear and into Truth realization.

Once we know this intellectually, we begin to practice. We begin to train our conscious awareness to focus on our intentions and later, as our relationship with this energy of existence develops and we mature in our understanding and trust in this energy, we step into our true raison d’etre.

Between July 26, 2016 – July 24, 2017, we came through the Galactic Calendar year of Blue Spectral Storm. (See previous article to understand more of the details of this energy.) This year of Storm brought whipping winds and torrential rains that pounded on our beliefs and shook loose much debris that obscured our ability to see clearly. Indeed, it is very much as if we saw through a glass darkly. Now, after the storm, we have clear sight.

On so many levels, I see differently. The shenanigans of the global elite are no longer secret. The storm energy has blown the cover off that agenda that has been in the works for a century. If you are not aware of this yet, you may want to take a look at the video, Thrive, to see how we can reclaim our lives and our future. Once you become aware, you can make different choices. You have the power to make change through your choices.

On a spiritual level, personally, I finally “got” one of the higher spiritual teachings. One of my teachers pointed out there is not so much difference between “good humanhood” and “bad humanhood.” It is still humanhood. We must rise up to the spirit level and live from this plane of understanding. All that “faith” I had in being a “good human” went flying out the window with those winds of transformation. But now, I see so clearly. Transformation – which is what the year of Storm brought to us – really does, in the end, feel like rebirth.

Spiritually, from a more global perspective, doesn’t the world look new?

Yellow Crystal Seed

The new year, Yellow Crystal Seed started on July 26th, 2017. The energy of potential is vibrating through the air.

Clean. Bright. Golden opportunity.

You hold it in your hands. You have the power to grow the new seeds of thought and action in this new year.

We are the light bearers. It is time to awaken fully. It is time to hold our focus on the light. See it in your own being. Hold it in your meditations and then see it in the world wherever you are drawn to hold the light.

It is an existential law that when you hold your focus on the light, the light reveals itself.

Blue Spectral Storm

by Dreama Vance

We live in a world of time. We live this time through our experience of cycles. Spring follows winter. Day follows night. We plant and give birth by the cycles of the moon.

Long before the ruckus over whether the world would end in 2012, most of us were introduced to the cyclic calendars of the Maya. They are renowned for their many ways of tracking cycles of time, large expanses of time. Everyone who studied this knew December 21, 2012 was not “the end of time,” but the end of a 26,000 year cycle; and, consequently, the beginning of a new cycle.

This new cycle moves us back towards the light, towards remembering.

For over 5,000 years, cultures all over the world have used a 13-moon, 28-day count calendar. In the time our earth orbits the Sun, our moon has orbited us 13 times. The 13-moon, 28-day count is an ancient, universal, harmonic measure. If you close your eyes and feel this, you will feel the balance with nature that this brings to your being.

The 13 Moon Galactic Calendar has come to us in large part through the teachings and visionary work of Dr. Jose Arguelles.

Each day of this 13 Moon Annual Calendar is synchronized with the 260-day Galactic Overlay. This galactic overlay is composed of 20 solar frequencies, shown as Glyphs, moving in 13-day cycles called Tones, providing a mental and spiritual focus for each day. Using the Glyph and Tone of the day and the code words for each, the calendar shows you how to construct the “Dreamspell Affirmation.”

These affirmations are a focus unifying people in over 90 countries, powerfully activating “global synchronization of our intentions.” The meditation is to be felt through the vibration. It is not meant to be understood by the analytical mind.

This calendar is a beautiful, fascinating work that I have explored and studied for several years now. I love the feel of the natural rhythms and I love to think of thousands of people every day exploring the same energies of higher frequencies through the Glyphs and Tones of the day.

So it is that we come to the title and purpose of this article. The new year of this 13 Moon Galactic Calendar always begins July 26th of the Gregorian calendar. Whatever Glyph and Tone occur on this day set the tone and energies of the new year ahead. Thus from July 26, 2016 we have been in the year of Blue Spectral Storm.

The year of Storm. Who knew we would be battered about like so much flotsam? Have you been through wildly raging emotions? Who knew we could even experience such extremes from ecstatic bliss (the eye of the storm) to the rage of wind and rain as it pummeled us and shook loose every belief we held dear and through which we structured our life?

Having experienced all of this in my own life, I look around and I see it everywhere. I hear others ranting like a crazy person or sobbing that they feel as if a part of their soul has been lost. I look at the elections in the U.S. this past November and observe in shock the vicious attacks being engineered against one person.

The Year of the Storm. Life is a mosaic of pieces. Very much like a jigsaw puzzle we carefully put the pieces together, working to form the picture we hold in our mind. We hold this picture through our belief system. With gale force winds, this year blew through my life and tossed that jigsaw puzzle into a thousand pieces. Every spiritual belief, every understanding of Truth got blown into a whirlwind. Then the rain pounded on it. Lightning lit everything in a flash and thunder rolled over all of it with a roar.

Blue Spectral Storm. I don’t really need to define Storm. Everyone knows and has experienced this energy. Spectral is the Tone of the year. It is number 11 of 13 and the energies are the dynamic of dissonance. How’s that for magnifying Storm energy? Spectral power dissolves, releases, liberates.

So here we are, almost at the end of Blue Spectral Storm. Thank you, God. What a ride it has been! Although I would not want to do it again, there is a small part of me that is sad to see it go. That part of me appreciates what it accomplished.

I stand bedraggled, battered and bruised, my concept of self shaken. As I look around me, I see the jigsaw pieces of the puzzle of my life. I see a new picture that I am to put together. The old concepts have fallen away. The old me is now gone.

Out of Chaos Comes Renewal

Out of chaos comes renewal. Everyone loves the smell of the air after a rainstorm. It is clean, fresh. The earth awakens again. The birds come out to sing. The Sun, as Annie says, does come out tomorrow.

Our new Galactic Year is starting this July 26, 2017.

The new year is called Yellow Crystal Seed. The seeds of renewal. Seeds contain the power of life; the power of potential. We have the power to reseed our creation, our vision of life. Crystal energy brings a model of cooperation and a complex stability. It calls us to universalize, to translate our knowledge and insights, to assist in the elevation of the common good.

After the storm, we are called to rethink, to renew, to reach for a higher understanding. We are called to see the universal picture and our role in the coherent formation of the sacred circle.

The jigsaw puzzle no longer is laid out on the table. It is a moving, living, 3-D model. Like a hologram, it is huge, complex, detailed. It is incredibly beautiful and it is full of light! Watching it move, change, and expand as it reflects my life, thoughts, and beliefs is amazingly exciting.

Choose the seeds you will sow in this new year and let the energies of cooperation and universal synthesis weave together in your own puzzle of life. May you be blessed this new year with flowering and awareness.

Pebbles or Rose Petals?

by Dreama Vance

“Love, Forgiveness, and Kindness.” With those three words the Qigong Master roped me into his teaching. “The source of qigong healing power is unconditional love, forgiveness, and kindness,” he said. Having studied qigong with two other Qigong Masters and two other teachers over the years and never hearing any use of those words in their teachings, I was immediately captivated by this radiant, small Chinese man. I knew I had finally found the Qigong Master for me.

roseandpetalsThese three words, love, kindness and forgiveness are a guideline for a happy, joyful life. The further I go on my own spiritual journey, the more I see how the actions of these three words, love, kindness, and forgiveness directly parallel the results obtained from the actions: happiness and joy.

Most of us have been taught these principles as children, but something happens as we mature and discover, as Scott Peck tells us in The Road Less Traveled, “Life is difficult.”

Every spiritual seeker can cultivate these actions. As we go into our quiet space, we can contemplate these words. As we live our daily life, we can put these words into action. As we put these words into action, we manifest the joy and happiness we seek and want to experience in this lifetime.

Most of humanity practices conditional love. It is, in fact, pretty easy to practice conditional love! It is unconditional love where we sometimes struggle. However, unconditional love is something, I have discovered, that comes from the Divine.

Unconditional love flows through you. It is always there. We don’t really need to struggle to experience it. We just need to tap into it. We only need to remember it. We need to connect with it…and when we do… the power of this energy will bring us to our knees. Honestly, when you begin to practice this way of being, it is difficult not to grab people off the street and hug them. You will feel such love for everything… for all of humanity. You will love the Earth. You will see her. You will see beauty as if you had never seen the world.

I still remember a raw food teacher talking about returning to Russia when her mother was dying. As she sat by the bedside, her mother was going in and out of consciousness. Just as she thought her mother had drawn her last breath, her mother opened her eyes and looked at her and said, “I have wasted my entire life. It is all about love.”

Now, the mother was a very successful woman. She was a college professor and had reared a family of well-adjusted and successful children. How could she have thought she had wasted her life? And yet, it is obvious from her last words… “it is all about love” that she had in the end, seen that light of understanding that can only come from Spirit. Life, is indeed, all about love.

Forgiveness is a major player in both our emotional and our physical well being. Unbalanced emotions themselves play a big role in creating physical problems in the body. It is pretty easy to forgive small matters. What about big issues? Is there something someone did that is unforgivable? Stop and think. Are you still carrying that baggage around with you?

If you find it impossible to let go of the hurt and anger, pretend. You know you need to forgive for your own sake. So set the intention that you will forgive and then pretend you are forgiving that person. Practice pretending to forgive over and over in your quiet space, chanting, “I forgive you.” Watch as the miracle of forgiveness opens within you. Forgiveness opens the doors to freedom of the spirit.

Kindness is, I find, the most actionable of the three words in our daily life. Out of the three words, kindness is the word that we do (or don’t do) as we go about living our life. We become, as the Wizard of Oz says, good-deed-doers. Overt acts of kindness are easily recognizable. You hold open the door at a store for someone using a walker. You volunteer at the hospital or a nursing home. You adopt a pet from the Humane Society. These are acts of kindness.

There are, however, deeper, more subtle levels of this energy. It expresses through our very nature as we mature in our spiritual growth. We begin to be aware of our words and thoughts. Are we throwing pebbles (okay, some people actually throw stones) with our words? Are we critical in any way when we speak to others? Are we critical when we speak about others? Is our own self-talk negative? Constructive criticism is an oxymoron. Our words should be rose petals of kindness. We want to uplift with our words.

As this energy deepens, it becomes even more subtle. Now we find, not only do we want our words to be love in action, but even our very thoughts are being overtaken by this energy of kindness. This energy begins to grow more conscious in our awareness. It begins to evolve within us, kindly demanding to be expressed in our very thoughts and words of expression.

pinkrosepetalsIt is amazing to me how this energy of kindness develops. Now, instead of “trying to be nice” we find this energy is living and expressing through us. It feels almost like an Angel of Kindness has taken up residence in our being. This energy is very connected to a peaceful spirit. I find that the more kindness is expressed, the stronger peace settles into our being.

So, scatter rose petals wherever you go, spreading love, kindness, and forgiveness into the world. Experience a life of happiness and joy!

What’s the Plan?

by Dreama Vance

DarrenHardyDarren Hardy is a motivational speaker that I heard at a convention. He had a PowerPoint slide with two side-by-side images. On one side was a slovenly dressed, middle-aged, overweight man in front of a clunker of a car, in front of a run-down house. On the other side was a picture of a well-groomed, trim man with a beautiful woman and two smiling children in front of a sleek car in front of a beautiful house and landscaped lawn. His question was, “Where do you want to be?”

I always laugh when I think about this picture because it is such a visual image and is applicable to just about everything in life. Indeed, his message in his presentation was that it is what you do everyday that determines where you will be in five, ten or twenty years. But first, you have to have a plan.

Everything starts with a plan. Do you want to have lunch with friends? You have to make a plan. Do you want to lose ten pounds weight? You have to have a plan. Do you want to be spiritually enlightened? What’s the plan? The odds are pretty good that something is not going to fall out of the sky, hit you in the head, and magically transform you.

Getting things done and accomplished requires a plan. When you go buy weekly groceries, you probably go with a plan… either you have a grocery list of things to buy, or you have some idea in your head of what your meals will be in the coming week and therefore know what you need to purchase. There is a maintenance plan for your car and when you take it in for service, you either plan to wait for it or plan for someone to pick you up and return you when the car is ready. There is a plan.

Making plans and following them help us get to where we want to be. You have the picture of what you want and then you break it down into daily practices that are doable and will get you the desired outcome. If your plan is to one day run a marathon and you have never run a mile, you aren’t going to go out and run that marathon today. You are going to train for it. You are going to map out a plan. You are going to keep your ultimate goal in mind, but start with a much smaller and manageable aspect of the bigger picture.

Only you can make your plans. Others can help and give assistance, but your plan depends on you… where you are now, where do you want to be, what are you already doing on a consistent basis, how big a step can you take at a time… these all depend on you.

Can you meditate for two hours everyday? If you already meditate for an hour, then probably the answer is yes; but if you find it difficult to meditate twenty minutes, then you will need to decrease your time to a more comfortable period so that you can maintain the daily habit. If twenty minutes is uncomfortable, then you will soon give up. Better to decrease the time and establish the habit. Once the habit is comfortably established, then you can slowly increase the time. See how it works?

What you do consistently is how you achieve the desired outcome.

So make your plans for your health and well-being by mapping out the changes in your diet and your exercise routine, your spiritual life, time with family, whatever your priorities are. What do you want that picture of you to look like in five years time?

Design your plan!
