Why We Are Here

by Owen K Waters

Owen K WatersThe biggest mystery in spiritual philosophy has always been, “WHY did God create the universe?”

This was the eternal question, the ultimate question that no one was able to answer for thousands of years. Now, you’re about to discover the answer.

Once you know the answer, just imagine what it will be like to wake up every morning and know that you hold the key to the very reason for life itself. Not just the key to your own purpose, but the master key to the very reason for the existence of the universe!

Having gained this profound depth of understanding, imagine the sense of purpose and destiny that will be yours each and every day. You are about to discover the answer to what was the most ancient mystery on earth: The reason why the universe was created in the first place.

Here’s how the question was presented throughout the millennia and why it always led to an unresolved dilemma. First, think of what existed before the universe was ever created. Remember, before the beginning, the Original Consciousness we call God was pure beingness. There was no form, just an awareness that was silent, immobile, timeless perfection.

And yet, possessed with perfection, God decided to go into action and create a universe filled with intelligent life that spends its time traveling back toward its divine source. The reason for the journey is to evolve through experience in order to eventually gain perfection.

Whoa! Wait a minute!

Why, as pundits have always asked, would God create a journey from imperfection, or incompleteness, back to a state of perfection which already exists? “What would be the point?”

You are about to discover the point, just as I did on that fateful morning in December 2007, when the answer was virtually dropped into my lap. After several decades of dedication to research into spiritual metaphysics, I must have gained friends in high places because a profoundly graceful spiritual presence came into my study and stayed long enough to make sure that I wrote down the answer to this mystery correctly.

Here it is.

“Curiosity was the first seed of action.”

The First Cause was Curiosity!

It was curiosity that led God to pose the questions:

“What would happen if I created a universe filled with an infinite number of parts and made my awareness be present in those parts?”

“What if I were able to see myself from those parts as they provided me with an infinite number of viewpoints?”

“What would the experience be like?”

Curiosity, therefore, is a divine attribute. As such, it should be treasured, nurtured and expanded.

Adventures begin with curiosity. Personal growth begins with curiosity. Spiritual growth is the crown jewel of personal growth because it is so closely related to your ultimate purpose in life.

Curiosity leads to a quest for knowledge, for an understanding of the spiritual principles that operate behind the scenes and yet directly affect everyone’s lives. Follow your divine sense of curiosity and discover the spiritual principles of existence. Set aside time at the start of each day for meditation and inner reflection.

Do this one thing to create a fuller life that becomes filled with purpose:

Make spiritual growth your number one priority!

Creative Karma

Karma is very different from what most people think it is. The word itself, usually prefixed by the word “bad,” generates ideas of retribution or punishment for past misadventures. Somewhere in the heavens above, so people imagine, an accountant is supposed to be keeping track of your karmic balance.

I used to assume that karma was all about maintaining a balance, so therefore the universe contained some law that made it reflective in nature and therefore automatically self-balancing. However, I stand corrected by recent revelations from my senior guide and mentor, an archangel who serves humanity in the vitally essential office of Lord Protector of The Shift.

Karma is an effect of creation. There is no inherent reflective capability in the universe. The apparent reflections, which people sometimes call their karma, come from the ongoing patterns of consciousness which they have created.

Each of us has a karmic pattern, which is like a tapestry filled with a variety of cross-linked energies. Each thread woven into your karmic pattern was placed there by your creation of a certain pattern of consciousness.

Each created pattern of consciousness within the tapestry of your karmic pattern exists because you have given it life. It will continue to exist and attract circumstances to itself as long as you feed its existence. That attraction is caused by the emotional component of the creation.

The Law of Creation is invoked when intention and feeling are set into motion.

The feeling part of the thought pattern creates a field of attraction which, by its nature, attracts relevant circumstances to itself.

How to Change Your Karma

People often ask if their karmic pattern can be changed. Yes, it can. It changes all the time. What has been created and empowered by an emotional charge will soon fade away when that emotional charge no longer feeds it.

In a more sudden fashion, a rise in consciousness can transform a karmic pattern. For example, if someone were intent on jealousy as a way of life and then they experienced a sudden awakening which transformed them to a higher level of thought, their life could change at that very moment.

They could decide to become loving and forgiving instead of continuing to feed the old jealousy pattern. That decision would be the end of the jealousy part of their karmic pattern. It would be taken out of existence by the transformation which made the person no longer interested in feeding that pattern of consciousness. The former creation would dissipate, its energy being released back to the universe, and it would stop generating karmic circumstances.

In Summary

The Law of Karma states that thought patterns attract experiences to you which match the patterns. Your overall karmic pattern is a collection of each thought pattern you have created. It can change as you raise your level of consciousness through spiritual growth but the Law of Karma never ceases to operate. It is built into Creation and is always in full operation at all levels of Creation, attracting those patterns you have created through your intentions, feelings and actions.

Here’s the Especially Good News

The Law of Karma guarantees that when you give, you will receive. When you heal, you will receive healing. When you teach what you have learned to others, you will find that even greater insights dawn within you as a result.

If you decide with all your heart that this is the year you will succeed in fulfilling your soul purpose in this life, then that adds a thread to your karmic pattern which will affect your present and future. Like a magnet drawing resources and circumstances toward you, this thread will help you navigate through life in a way which can fulfill your wish in every possible way.

The Numerology of 2014

by Owen K Waters

In Western culture, most of us are about to begin what we call the year 2014. Westerners typically use the Gregorian calendar, which was named after Pope Gregory XIII. Gregory proposed how we would, to this day, number the years, the months and the days.

According to numerology, 2014 is a “7” year: 2 + 0 + 1 + 4 adds up to 7. The influence of that number makes 2014 a year of deeper focus and realizations. However, you might wonder why the effects of numerology work in our particular calendar system when there are other calendars in use around the world.

Different calendars use different numbering systems. In the Hebrew calendar, the year 2014 equates approximately to the Hebrew year 5774 while the Islamic calendar sees the start of the year 1435. Other calendar systems include the ancient Chinese calendar, the Hindu calendars (that’s calendars, plural), not to mention the Assyrian, Buddhist, Burmese, Coptic, and Japanese calendars.

But, who says that 2014 is the correct number to describe that year? How can it be a “7” year when other calendars call it something different than 2014?

The key is, numbers have an effect on life. If you SAY that the year is called “2014,” then it will affect you in a number “7” type of way. And, when billions of people say that it is 2014, then you have a huge consensus of consciousness creating a “7” year.

In other words, the numbers work because we declare them to be so!

It’s that old rule of consciousness: “Act as if, and it will be so.”

And, when billions of people act as if, then it will be so… big time!

As a “7” year, the upcoming 2014 is a time when the world will focus within to realize deeper truths. From these realizations, new courses of action will spring forth. They may simply understand their work more deeply but, for spiritual seekers, this will be a great year for gaining a better understanding of the universal laws of abundance.

2014 is a year to contact deeper levels of consciousness within yourself, to reconsider everything about your life so far, and to reinvent yourself through new courses of action.

The influence of this year will help you see new opportunities to realize more of your potential in life.

Have a wonderful 2014!
